(ANSA) - ROME, OCT 22 - Italian GDP growth in 2024 is slowing
to 0.8%, one-tenth of a percentage point less compared to April
forecasts, the study centre of industrial employers group
Confindustria said on Tuesday.
Forecasts for 2025 were also downgraded to just over +0,9%, it
noted.
"Growth in Italy is slowing down", said the study centre,
highlighting the impact of ISTAT's revised 2023 GDP on this
year's estimates.
Public deficit was also revised down to 3.9% of GDP in 2024 and
3.1% in 2025; "debt remains too high" and is expected to reach
136.9% in 2024 and 138.5% next year, Confindustria said. (ANSA).
