(ANSA) - ROME, OCT 29 - Humanitas in Rozzano and two public
hospitals, one in the Marche city of Ancona and Careggi in
Florence, are Italy's three best hospitals, the director general
of the National Agency for Regional Healthcare Services
(AGENAS), Domenico Mantoan, said Tuesday.
Speaking on the sidelines of the presentation of the 'National
Outcomes Program' aimed at assessing the services provided by
the national healthcare system, Mantoan said the objective of
the survey was not to "give prizes or penalties but encouraging
the improvement of care".
Humanitas confirmed its leadership in all eight sectors under
consideration for the third consecutive year, said Mantoan.
Ancona, "which was among the best last year, made a further
improvement with seven areas of excellency" while "the surprise
was another public institution, which made a huge investment,
Florence's Careggi University Hospital", with top scores on all
eight areas evaluated, he concluded. (ANSA).
