(ANSA) - ROME, NOV 5 - Thirty-three new restaurants in Italy
have been awarded a star in the 70th edition of the Italy
Michelin Guide presented Tuesday in Modena.
The Lombardy region recorded an exploit with nine venues that
were granted the recognition, followed by Emilia-Romagna,
Piedmont and Veneto.
Meanwhile the number of three-Michelin-starred restaurants in
Italy has risen to 14 with Casa Perbellini ai 12 Apostoli in
Verona joining the list of places offering "exceptional cuisine"
and worth a special national or international journey.
Overall, all 13 restaurants previously granted three stars were
confirmed in the new guide - including Villa Crespi, Piazza
Duomo, Da Vittorio, Le Calandre, Dal Pescatore, Osteria
Francescana, Enoteca Pinchiorri, La Pergola, Reale, Uliassi,
Enrico Bartolini al Mudec, Atelier Moessmer Norbert
Niederkofler, Quattro Passi.
The new guide also listed 38 two-starred restaurants, with two
new entries, and 341 venues with one star, including the 33 new
entries.
The 'Michelin Green Star' list testifying to a committed,
ethical and sustainable cuisine was awarded to 69 restaurants
(11 new entries), while the 'Bib Gourmand' recognition for
establishments serving high-quality food at moderate prices was
granted to 250 establishments, including 16 new entries, for a
total of 1,983 venues included in the guide's 2025 selection.
