(ANSA) - ROME, NOV 5 - Chinese President President Xi Jinping
will meet President Sergio Mattarella this week for talks "to
define the future development project of Sino-Italian relations"
Chinese Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Mao Ning said on Tuesday
ahead of the Italian head of State's departure for Beijing on
Wednesday.
"China is ready to work with Italy to strengthen mutual
political trust, expand practical cooperation and promote
people-to-people exchanges in order to instil greater stability
in the world," Mao said.
Mattarella is also scheduled to hold talks with Chinese Premier
Li Qiang and Zhao Leji, president of the National People's
Congress, Mao added. (ANSA).
