(ANSA) - ROME, NOV 6 - AC Milan owner Gerry Cardinale
congratulated his players after Tuesday's spectacular 3-1 win
over Real Madrid at the home of the Champions League holders in
the dressing room after the match and said the performance
showed the team's potential, sources said on Wednesday.
The seven-time European champions have had a stuttering start to
the season under new coach Paulo Fonseca.
They are currently seventh in Serie A with 17 points, eight
behind leaders Napoli.
On Tuesday Malick Thiaw, Alvaro Morata and Tijjani Reijnders
were on target to give Milan the second win of their Champions
League campaign, which gives them six points from four games.
Juventus have one point more after being held 1-1 at Lille.
Bologna are at the lower end of the standings with just one
point following Tuesday's 1-0 defeat to Monaco at home. (ANSA).
