(ANSA) - ROME, NOV 19 - Transport Minister Matteo Salvini said Tueday he would act if the November 29 general strike is a wildcat action and does not foresee guaranteed bands for commuters on buses, trams and the underground, with the railways having been spared by two of Italy's big three unions.
"If the wildcat strike returns, as it was the last time, without the guarantee bands and that ruin the day of millions of Italians, taking away the right to health, work, study, I will intervene directly as the law allows me to do", said the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport and Infrastructure.
"They have removed the railways and it is already a step forward", added the right-wing League party leader.
Italy's biggest union CGIL and its third biggest UIL have called the strike against the 2025 budget bill.
The third major union, CISL, has not. (ANSA).
