This is line chosen by Meloni

(ANSA) - ROME, NOV 22 - Deputy Premier, Foreign Minister and centre-right post Berlusconi Forza Italia (FI) leader Antonio Tajani said Friday Italy would decide with its Group of Seven (G7) allies on Monday what position to take regarding the International Criminal Court's (ICC) arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, his former defence minister Yoav Gallant and Hamas's late military chief Mohammed Deif over the October 7, 2023 Hamas attacks and the subsequent Gaza war.
"We respect and support the ICC but we are convinced that what it must play is a legal and not a political role", said Tajani.
"We will examine the documents to understand what are the reasons that led the Court to make this choice.
"The G7 of Foreign Ministers will begin on Monday in Fiuggi and we will make decisions together with our allies.
"This is the line chosen by our Prime Minister (Giorgia Meloni) that I have the duty to implement".
The United States, Israel's staunchest ally, has rejected the arrest warrant for Netanyahu and called the process that led to its issuance "deeply troubling". (ANSA).
