(ANSA) - ROME, NOV 24 - Genoa drew 2-2 at home with fellow
strugglers Cagliari in their first match under new coach Patrick
Vieira.
The former France and Arsenal midfielder took over Italy's
oldest club after they sacked Alberto Gilardino last week.
Razvan Marin put the Sardinian visitors in front with an early
penalty but Morten Frendrup levelled for the hosts soon after
and Fabio Miretti put them ahead close to the hour mark.
Cagliari got a share of the points with another penalty in the
closing stages, this time converted by Roberto Piccoli.
Genoa and Cagliari are 16th and 15th in Serie A respectively
with both sides on 11 points from 13 games, ahead of the rest of
the weekend's fixtures. (ANSA).
