(ANSA) - ROME, NOV 27 - The friends of Ramy Elgaml, the nineteen-year-old who died in a scooter accident while being chased by the police in Milan on the night between Saturday and Sunday, said Wednesday that the migrant youths and North African teen gangs who devastated the Corvetto district for three nights after the incident came from outside.
Saying they were "angry", "saddened" and above all "don't believe the version of the Carabinieri", some 20 friends told the regional councilor of the Democratic Party (PD) Carmela Rozza: "those who devastated the neighborhood were not us. They were people who came from outside".
The young people are also thinking of a peaceful demonstration and of creating an association for Ramy. (ANSA).
