(ANSA) - ROME, NOV 27 - Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani said
Wednesday he thought the GCAP combat aircraft accord with the UK
and Japan would expand to include Saudi Arabia.
"I think that the GCAP agreement with Great Britain and Japan,
on combat aircraft, will now expand to Saudi Arabia", Tajani
said at his centre-right Forza Italia (FI) party conference on
"European Defense: challenges and opportunities", in the Lower
House.
To those who then asked him about the timing of the expansion to
the new partner of the program for the advanced sixth-generation
fighter, Tajani replied: "We are working". (ANSA).
