(ANSA) - ROME, NOV 30 - The front door of the home of MEP
Francesco Ventola, a member of Premier Giorgia Meloni's Brothers
of Italy (FdI) party, was set on fire at 3 am on Saturday in
Canosa di Puglia north of Bari while the politician and his
family were at home.
Nobody was injured in the fire, which police believe was caused
by a Molotov cocktail.
Police are investigating the incident.
Before being elected to the European Parliament, Canosa served
as mayor of Canosa, president of the province of
Barletta-Andria-Trani and, until last June, FdI whip in Puglia's
regional council. (ANSA).
