(ANSA) - ROME, DEC 3 - Stellantis on Tuesday denied Carlos Tavares was getting a 100 million euro golden handshake after quitting as CEO of the Italo-Franco-US carmaker.
Stellantis "denies the figures reported by the media on the financial terms of Carlos Tavares' resignation, which are very imprecise and far from reality", it said in a statement.
Stellantis stated that "it does not disclose the details of the resignations of its employees, including managers, except in cases provided for by law in respect of their privacy, while it is required to disclose the remuneration of its CEOs in the company's annual remuneration report".
Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani said he had renounced severance pay as a European commissioner and hoped that others would do the same. (ANSA).
