(ANSA) - ROME, DEC 4 - Around 650,000 families are on waiting
lists for public housing in Italy, according to a report by
builders' association ANCE based on data by national statistics
agency Istat and released on Wednesday.
The report said that around one third of the families who rent
their homes spend 40% of their income on housing.
It said that more than 21 million people live in metropolitan
cities in Italy and more than two million families want to move
house. (ANSA).
