(ANSA) - ROME, DEC 9 - President Sergio Mattarella on Monday
called Tuscany Governor Eugenio Giani to be informed about the
condition of the injured following an Eni depot explosion near
Florence and to express solidarity with the victim's families,
Quirinale sources said.
The head of State also thanked rescuers for intervening in
Calenzano in an extremely professional way, according to the
same sources.
Giani said in a note that "the president of the Republic
promptly called me to be informed about what had occurred and to
express very humane words of solidarity and closeness with those
who were affected by the very grave incident and with the
victims' families". (ANSA).
