(ANSA) - ROME, DEC 16 - A reported 4,744 violations have been
recorded in the first 48 hours since a new Highway Code came
into force, the transport and interior ministries said on
Monday.
According to the figures, 14 people were fined for driving under
the influence of drugs.
Overall, 331 driving licenses were suspended and 8,136 points
were curtailed from licenses, said the ministries. (ANSA).
