(ANSA) - ROME, DEC 16 - The government on Monday approved a
new package of military aid for Ukraine.
The measure - which involves Italy's 10th package of military
aid for Ukraine since the Russian invasion - will be illustrated
on Wednesday at the Italian intelligence service parliamentary
oversight body COPASIR by Defence Minister Guido Crosetto,
sources said
The list of material to be sent to Kyiv is confidential, as was
the case with previous measures.
Deputy Premier and Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani on Monday
told the Ambassadors' Conference that "Italy is beside Kyiv in
an all-round commitment for a fair peace, which can't be
Ukraine's surrender".
He stressed that work is ongoing for "a second peace conference
with the participation of Russia as well, with partners like
China, India and Brazil".
The minister recalled that, during the meeting of Group of Seven
foreign ministers in Fiuggi, "we reiterated the centrality of
support for Ukraine's energy security and its reconstruction".
Tajani went on to note such commitment "sees us on the front
line, ahead of the Conference on Reconstruction which we will
host in Rome in July". (ANSA).
