(ANSA) - ROME, DEC 16 - The partner of Silvia Nowak, a
53-year-old German woman who was killed and then burned in
October in the town of Castellabate near Salerno, was arrested
by Carabinieri police on Monday.
Kai Dausel is charged with murdering Nowak and destroying her
body.
Investigative sources said Nowak, who had moved to Italy with
her partner from Germany, was probably killed right after she
disappeared on Tuesday, October 15.
She was hit with a blunt object and stabbed before her body was
burned.
The body's remains were discovered on Friday, October 18, about
100 metres from the couple's home. (ANSA).
