(ANSA) - ROME, DEC 18 - The Molise region will be present at the Italy Pavilion of Expo 2025 Osaka, from July 6 until July 12, with the theme "MoliSAKURA: Regenerating life through the arts, productions and professions between past and future", thanks to a cooperation agreement signed with the Commission General for Italy.
The regional theme is inspired by the Universal Exposition's theme "Designing Future Society for Our Lives" and the Italy Pavilion's theme "Art Regenerates Life", to bring international attention to its excellence in the fields of technology, tourism, culture and craftsmanship.
"Very satisfied for this strategic agreement with Molise, aimed at promoting at Expo the unique identity of this region, among the first to undertake with us the journey towards the event to seize the opportunities offered by markets registering strong growth like eastern Asia and ASEAN", stated Ambassador Mario Vattani, the Commissioner General for Italy at Expo 2025 Osaka.
"It is no coincidence that Molise already hosts significant investments of Asian companies, confirming its potential in involving major players of the eastern area, including Japan.
"The presence at Expo will be a unique occasion to establish Molise on a global stage".
"With the signature of the cooperation agreement, we confirm our participation, during the week from July 6 to July 12, at Expo 2025 Osaka", said Andrea Di Lucente, the Vice President and Business Councillor of the Molise region.
"The event represents for us an important showcase through which we can present our territory, our businesses, our craftsmanship, our food and wines", he added.
"It is indeed from Osaka that we would like to start a path of cooperation towards the countries of South-East Asia to present the opportunities offered by our region.
"We very much believe in the region's ability to attract investments and the strategic line of our administration will go in this direction: trying to lead towards Molise potential channels of entry that are useful for our territory, towards which we can still give a lot".
The Molise Region joins the massive participation of other Italian Regions taking part in Expo 2025 Osaka - a total of 18 out of 20.
This result stems from a journey that kicked off last March with the signature of the agreement between the Commission General for Italy at Expo 2025 Osaka and the Conference of Regions, to highlight the central role Italy wants to give to all territories, to present on the global stage of the next Universal Exposition the excellencies of Made in Italy.
