Cecilia hold on, I hug parents says Alessia Piperno

(ANSA) - ROME, DEC 27 - Alessia Piperno, an Italian writer and travel blogger who was held in Tehran's notorious Evin Prison for 45 days in 2022, on Friday urged journalist Cecilia Sala, who is now there having been arrested on December 19, to hold on and sent a hug to her parents.
    "I tell Cecilia Sala to hold on like I did for 45 days: in Evin prison they don't physically harm us foreigners, but mentally they wear you down a lot," Piperno told ANSA.
    "I know what the terror of being alone in a cell means. I hug her parents, I imagine their pain which is like what mine felt".
