(ANSA) - ROME, DEC 28 - Federica Brignone said she had "won
the challenge with myself" after extending her own record as the
oldest woman to win a World Cup race when she won the giant
slalom in Semmering in Austria, the 34-year-old's second win of
the season and her Italian-record-extending 29th victory.
"Semmering was a goal of mine.
''But the challenge, the challenge towards myself - added
Brignone - is my strength and my energy. And by challenging
myself to give more I see that I improve and this gives me more
motivation. And I do it while having fun because I like
skiing''. (ANSA).
