(ANSA) - ROME, DEC 29 - Rightwing League party leader, Deputy
Premier and Transport Minister Matteo Salvini said Sunday he
agreed with Switzerland's new ban on wearing the burqa and
recalled that the League has proposed this in Italy too.
"Switzerland has banned the possibility of wearing the burka? I
agree," said the anti-immigrant leader on social media.
"It's fine that the Swiss confederation has banned the burka,"
he added. "The League has proposed it for Italy too." (ANSA).
