Tennis: United Cup; doubles wins too, Italy-Switzerland 3-0

(ANSA) - ROME, DEC 29 - Italy beat Switzerland 3-0 in its debut in Group D of the United Cup, a mixed team tennis tournament underway in Sydney, on Sunday.
    After the singles victories of Flavio Cobolli and Jasmine Paolini, in the final mixed doubles Sara Errani and Andrea Vavassori beat Belinda Bencic and Dominic Stricker 6-4, 6-4.
    Italy was already sure of victory after the two singles matches, but the 3-0 is important for the group standings - which also includes France, defeated by Switzerland in the first match - in view of qualification for the quarterfinals. (ANSA).
