(ANSA) - ROME, DEC 30 - Some 10 police officers were hurt by
objects thrown as they evicted the illegal occupants of an
anarchist and anticapitalist 'social centre' in Rome on Monday.
Some representatives of leftist student collectives also took
part in the clashes.
Police baton charged the 60 or so protesters at the Forte
Portuense site, where the centre has been squatting for many
years, one of countless illegal squats across Italy. (ANSA).
