(ANSA) - ROME, DEC 30 - 2025 will be a key year in the
implementation of Phase Two of the National Recovery and
Resilience Plan (NRRP), Premier Giorgia Meloni said after Italy
on Monday requested payment of the 18.3 billion euro seventh
installment of the EU-funded post-COVID scheme from the European
Commission.
"Italy is the first European nation to submit a formal request
for the payment of the seventh installment of the NRRP," she
said.
"This is a record that will soon allow us to exceed 140 billion
euros, over 72% of the overall allocation of the Plan.
"2025 will be a key year for Phase 2 of the NRRP, i.e. the
implementation of investments.
"It is a crucial phase, which does not allow for delays and
which sees the Government and all the Administrations involved
on the front line to achieve the objective". (ANSA).
