Pope says world's hope lies in fraternity

(ANSA) - ROME, DEC 31 - Pope Francis said at First Vespers in St Peter's ahead of the traditional New Year's Eve Te Deum prayer Tuesday that the world's hope lies in fraternity.
    "The motto of the Jubilee, 'Pilgrims of Hope', is rich in meanings, depending on the different possible perspectives, which are like so many 'paths' of the pilgrimage," said Francis.
    And one of these great paths of hope on which to walk is fraternity: it is the path that I proposed in the Encyclical Fratelli tutti. Yes, the world's hope also lies in fraternity!".
