(ANSA) - ROME, JAN 5 - A 41-year-old woman was arrested late
on Saturday for assaulting a female doctor in the emergency room
of Naples CTO hospital, sources said on Sunday.
It is the latest of a long series of attacks on medical
personnel, especially those working in casualty units, in Italy.
The woman allegedly attacked the doctor as she was angered by
the length of time her uncle was having to wait to be examined.
She has been put under house arrest and three of her relatives
have been reported to prosecutors over the disturbance at the
hospital.
The doctor suffered injuries that should heal within five days.
