(ANSA) - ROME, JAN 8 - Cecilia Sala, the journalist released
Wednesday after three weeks in prison in Iran, will be
questioned by the Carabinieri of the ROS security branch in the
afternoon before returning to her Roman home, sources said after
she landed at Ciampino Airport.
Sala, 29, an Il Foglio reporter and Chora News podcaster, was
arrested on December 19 in Tehran, three days after the Milan
arrest of an Iranian engineer wanted on US terror charges, and
held in solitary confinement in Tehran's notorious Evin Prison.
She told her family she had no mattress to sleep on, was unable
to read because her glasses had been seized, and found it hard
to sleep due to a 24h light in her cell. (ANSA).
