Don't use public role for favours, Meloni says on SpaceX

(ANSA) - ROME, JAN 9 - Premier Giorgia Meloni on Thursday reiterated a denial issued by her office of reports of a deal between her government and the SpaceX company of her friend Elon Musk to use its Starlink satellites for telecommunications.
    "I am struck by how false news bounces around and continues to be discussed even after being denied, such as the denied contract with SpaceX," Meloni told a news conference.
    "Using the public sphere to do favors for friends is not a custom of mine.
    "I consider the national interest and I have never personally spoken to Musk about this issue". (ANSA).
