(ANSA) - ROME, JAN 10 - A 20-year-old Belgian woman who says
she was sexually assaulted by North African men at New Year's
Eve celebrations in Milan's Piazza Duomo told Italian police in
Liege Friday that she had been "terrified" by the alleged
attacks, legal sources said.
"I was terrified, I was dragged from one side to the other by a
river of men, 30 or 40 in all, I couldn't get out", she
reportedly said.
An Italian woman was also questioned Friday and she allegedly
suffered the same form of "collective harassment" and reported
it.
Her case is also among the alleged group sexual violence being
investigated by the Prosecutor's Office.
Next week, other victims will be questioned on the record.
