(ANSA) - ROME, JAN 11 - Premier Giorgia Meloni's Brothers of
Italy (FdI) party on Saturday said in a statement that a group
of anti-capitalist protesters attacked some of its members at a
gazebo in the northwestern city of Turin.
"About 10 antagonist militants tried to prevent with violence"
the activity of a gazebo organized by the Brothers of Italy
(FdI) party in Turin's Corso Racconigi, said the party.
Anti-capitalist and anarchist squatters "violently assaulted one
of our gazebos, trying to steal material and flags and attacking
activists", said city councillor Stefano Bolognesi, a member of
the FdI party.
He thanked police forces for "intervening immediately and
stopping the violence by deploying an anti-riot unit". (ANSA).
