Nuclear fusion can change history says Meloni

(ANSA) - ABU DHABI, JAN 15 - Premier Giorgia Meloni said Wednesday that she is hopeful the development of nuclear fusion can change the course of history in a speech at the Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week event.
    "The future of the energy transition and digitization will depend on our ability to find a balance between sustainability and innovation," Meloni said.
    "We must develop a balanced energy mix, based on the technologies we have, those we are experimenting with and those yet to be identified, not only renewable energy, but also gas, biofuels, green hydrogen and the capture of carbon dioxide.
    "That's without forgetting nuclear fusion, which can potentially produce clean, safe, unlimited energy, and transform energy from a geopolitical weapon into a widely accessible resource that can actually change history".
