Pope's strength, guidance never failed says Meloni

(ANSA) - ROME, MAR 18 - Premier Giorgia Meloni on Tuesday extended a heartfelt greeting to Pope Francis in a briefing to the Senate in view of this week's European Council saying his strength and guidance had never failed as he battles pneumonia in a Rome hospital.
    "I feel like conveying an affectionate greeting to the Holy Father whose strength and guidance have been unfailing.
    "My hope, and I in interpret the feeling of this House and I am sure of the entire Italian population, is to be able to see him entirely recovered as soon as possible", said the premier.
    All members of the Senate rose to their feet and applauded Meloni's words. (ANSA).
