Elkann's words shameful, he must apologize says League

(ANSA) - ROME, MAR 19 - John Elkann's words are shameful and he should apologize to Italian workers, the right-wing League party said in a note issued on Wednesday after the Stellantis president addressed Parliament.
    "John Elkann's words are the umpteenth, shameful joke: his group grew thanks to the money of Italians - Italians he then fired to invest and hire abroad.
    "And with the genius idea of 'everything electric' they have supported, they are helping destroy the car sector in Italy and in Europe", said the note.
    "Mr Elkann should apologize to workers and then give back the billions he cashed in from our country", it concluded. (ANSA).
