(ANSA) - ROME, MAR 27 - Shares in European carmakers sank on
Thursday after President Donald Trump's announcement that he
would impose 25% tariffs on all vehicles and foreign-made auto
parts imported into the United States as of April 2.
The auto sector shed 3.
Stellantis fell by 5.3%.
In response to the news, carmakers recording sharp drops also
included Mercedes (-5.5%), Bmw (-4.5%), Volkswagen (-4%) and
Porsche (-4.9%).
Renault was only down 0.6%. (ANSA).
