(ANSA) - Rome, September 10 - Italian incomes have fallen to the levels they were at 30 years ago, according to figures released on Wednesday by retailers association Confcommercio.
The association said that the average Italian's disposable income this year is 17,400 euros, the same level as in 2013 and only a little higher than the 17,200 euro average of 1986.
Italian retailers have been badly hit by a slump in consumer spending, with the economy in its third recession since the start of the global economic crisis in 2008.
