Intesa profit 806 mn Q1 (2)

(ANSA) - Milan, May 6 - The Intesa Sanpaolo bank posted a profit of 806 million euros in the fist quarter which would have been 902 million if its contribution to a bank settlement fund were excluded. This compared to a profit of 1. 064 billion euros in the same period last year. Intesa's stock fell 2% before recovering to show a loss of 1.4%. Intesa San Paolo is Italy's second-biggest bank after UniCredit.
