No Cibus Tuttofood merger - Scordamaglia

(ANSA) - Parma, May 9 - The Cibus food fair won't merge with Milan's Tuttofood, said Luigi Scordamaglia, president of Italian food producers' association Federalimentare, on Monday.
    "The Cibus brand is absolutely unique both on a national and international level; it's the model itself of Italian farming and food. Therefore it's impossible to see a total coordination of the national farming business that doesn't come under the Cibus brand umbrella, also because it's a very strong brand abroad," Scordamaglia said.
    "With the government's direction I'm sure that instead, we'll manage to have an overall coordination that perhaps lightly differentiates the target markets of each fair".
