(ANSA) - Rome, September 18 - Deputy Premier Luigi Di Maio
told ANSA Tuesday he had never asked for the resignation of
Economy Minister Giovanni Tria in a budget spat but the minister
should find the resources for hard-pressed Italian households.
Before leaving on a China trip, Di Maio said "no one asked
for the resignation of minister Tria but I expect that economy
minister of a government of change to find the money for the
Italians who at the moment are in great difficulty.
"The Italians in difficulty can't wait any longer, the State
can't leave them alone any more, and a serious minister must
find the money".
Di Maio's anti-establishment 5-Star Movement is demanding
cover for its flagship campaign pledge, a basic income.
