(ANSA) - ROME, JUN 27 - Health Minister Roberto Speranza told
G7 counterparts by videomessage Monday that Italy was helping
Ukrainian refugees and that the fight against COVID-19 was still
an "open challenge".
Speranza told the meet, led by German Health Minister Karl
Lauterbach and European Health Commissioner Stella Kyriakides:
"Italy has activated its solidarity machine with the civil
protection department ad the regions in support of the war
refugees and the population hit, to which it is furnishing all
necessary medical aid.
"We also discussed the new wave of COVID-19 and the upcoming
autumn vaccine campaign.
"It is evident that we are not yet out of the pandemic, the
challenge is still open".
The G7 health ministers also discussed the management of people
wounded in Ukraine. (ANSA).
