(ANSA) - ROME, AUG 17 - Italian GDP growth in the second
quarter of 2022 was above the eurozone average of 0.6% at 1%,
Eurostat said in preliminary data Wednesday.
German GDP was unchanged.
France's was 0.5% up and Spain's 1.1% up.
Italy's recovery has been hit by a cost of living crisis with
spiralling energy bills amid the war in Ukraine and supply chain
snafus.
The government has passed two aid packages for hard-hit families
struggling to make it to the end of the month. (ANSA).
