Number of people in employment down 27,000 in November-ISTAT

(ANSA) - ROME, JAN 9 - The number of people in employment in Italy dropped by 27,000 (0.1%) in November with respect to October after two months of growth, ISTAT said on Monday.
    The national statistics agency added the number of people in work was up by 278,000 (1.2%) with respect to November 2021.
    ISTAT said the unemployment rate was steady at 7.8% in November.
    It said the jobless rate for 15-to-24-year-olds who are active on the labour marker fell by 0.6 of a percentage point to 23%.
    It said the percentage of people of working-age not active on the labour market rose 0.1 of a point to 34.5%. (ANSA).
