(ANSA) - ROME, JAN 2 - January sales are set to start across
Italy and the overall turnover generated will be around 4.8
billion euros, retail group Confcommercio said Tuesday.
The sales, which start in Val d'Aosta on Wednesday January 3 and
the rest of Italy on Friday January 5, will see around 15.8
Italian families eyeing discounts this year, Confcommercio said.
Average per capita spending will be some 137 euros, amounting to
306 euros per household, for the total of 4.8 billion spent
overall. (ANSA).
