(ANSA) - ROME, JAN 10 - Retail sales were up by 0.4% in value
and by 0.
The increase was driven mainly by the performance of non-food
items, the national statistics agency added.
ISTAT said on an annual basis retail sales had also increased by
1.5% in value terms but decreased by 2.2% in volume terms over
November 2022.
In the trend scenario, the statistics agency added that Italians
are continuing to pay more to get less as a result of the
cost-of-living crisis, but that in November 2023 the drop in
sales in volume terms year-on-year is more contained than in
previous months. (ANSA).
