(ANSA) - ROME, JAN 15 - Istat said Monday that Italian
exports dropped by 2.4% in November compared to October.
The national statistics agency said exports fell by 2.0% to EU
countries and by 2.9% to non-EU countries.
It said imports were down too, but not by as much, dropping by
0.6% in month-on-month terms.
Istat said imports from EU countries increased by 1.3% in
November but they fell by 3.1% from non-EU countries.
Istat said Italy had a trade surplus of 3.889 billion euros in
November, with a deficit to 2.385 billion euros with respect to
EU countries more than made up for by the 6.274 million surplus
for the rest of the world.
Excluding energy, the trade surplus was 8.739 billion euros.
