(ANSA) - ROME, FEB 14 - Lawyers representing Stellantis and
Ferrari Chairman John Elkann said Wednesday that there were no
grounds to a Turin probe into an alleged tax violation triggered
by a complaint by his mother Margherita Agnelli regarding late
Fiat boss Gianni Agnelli's inheritance.
Margherita Agnelli has presented several law suits against other
members of the Agnelli dynasty, including Elkann, two of his
siblings and her late mother Marella, challenging agreements
regarding the inheritance of her father Gianni, Italy's
'uncrowned king', who died in 2003 - so far without success.
Elkann's lawyers Paolo Siniscalchi, Federico Cecconi and Carlo
Re released a joint statement saying the alleged tax violation
is "completely non-existent".
They said that Margherita Agnelli "has been persecuting her
parents and three of her children for more than 20 years in all
judicial fora, causing a great deal of publicity in the press",
adding that the petitions she has filed "have not been upheld in
any jurisdiction, be it criminal or civil". (ANSA).
