(ANSA) - ROME, MAR 1 - Italy's GDP grew by 0.9% in 2023,
Istat said on Friday.
That is up from the growth figure of 0.7% the national
statistics agency had given in an estimate at the end of January
and 0.8% given by the government in its Nadef economic
blueprint.
It said Italy's deficit-to-GDP ratio for 2023 was 7.2%, down
from 8.6% in 2022, but higher than the estimate of 5.3% given in
the Nadef.
The debt-to-GDP ratio, meanwhile, dropped to 137.3% from 140.5%
in 2022.
That is significantly better than the Nadef estimate of 140.2%.
