(ANSA) - ROME, MAY 29 - Confcommercio said in a report on
Wednesday that illegal trading, such as the sale of counterfeit
goods and purchases made via unauthorized channels, cost
legitimate retailers and hospitality outlets 38.6 billion euros
in 2023 and put 268,000 jobs at risk.
It added that almost one in four consumers in Italy (24.2%)
purchased a counterfeit product or an illegal service in 2023.
