Eni completes sale of 10% stake of Saipem

(ANSA) - ROME, JUN 12 - Italian energy giant Eni said Wednesday that it has completed the sale of a 10% stake of engineering unit Saipem in an operation worth 393 million euros.
    The transaction was carried out at a price of 1.97 euros per share, a discount of 9% compared to Tuesday's closing price of 2.06 euros on the Milan stock exchange and a gain of over 30% compared to the value at the beginning of the year.
    Eni said the settlement of the transaction will take place on 14 June.
    It said that it holds 21.19% of Saipem's share capital after the placement. (ANSA).
