(ANSA) - ROME, JUN 14 - The Milan bourse lost over 3% Friday, with the bellwether FTSE Mib index down 3.28% to 35,506 points, amid a European stock collapse linked to French election fears.
It was a difficult day also in Paris (-2.88% at 7,485 points) where uncertainty on the markets grew due to the early elections called by French President Emmanuel Macron immediately after the European Parliament vote that saw the rightwing national Rally of Marine Le Pen win about twice his party's votes.
More cautious Frankfurt (-1.52% at 17,991 points) and Madrid (-1.25%), while London (-0.27%) appeared little moved.
Also negative was the Dow Jones (-0.73% at 38,367 points) on Wall Street, while the Nasdaq was steady at 17,670 points. The spread between BTP and German ten-year Bunds settled at 156.9 points, with the Italian annual yield down 2.1 points to 3.91% and the German one down 12.4 points to 2.34%. (ANSA).
