First EC informal nod to ITA-Lufthansa deal

(ANSA) - ROME, JUN 17 - The European Commission has adopted its first technical and informal green light for Lufthansa's acquisition of a 41% stake in ITA Airways ahead of a July 4 deadline for OKing the merger deal, European sources close to the dossier told ANSA Monday.
    There has been "decisive progress" in the matter, the sources said.
    The deal envisages conditions to safeguard competition at Milan's Linate Airport and on short and long range services, by opening routes to rival airlines. (ANSA).
